The Company and The People
Last updated 2024-05-27.
We are a small independent game development company, led by Emil Hedemalm. Emil comes from a background of both Game Development and Network Computing. He has been building his own game engine from scratch in C++ and is now currently developing, designing and directing the game Iterum – a Strategy Game. Alongside him, there is Andréas Söderberg, a talented graphics generalist with a passion for pushing pixels and crafting UI and icons, alongside 3D graphics. We have also enlisted some talented contractors to help bring our vision to life, as well as some interns learning the ropes of game development.
We are a fully remote team, collaborating with digital tools daily. Formally we are grouped under the company Evergreen IT AB, which is also Emil’s consulting and IT product development company.
Before working on this game, Emil has been working as an IT consultant for various clients in Stockholm, including some game developers. Andréas has previously worked on projects such as World Hockey Manager and Prime 2D.
Iterum – The Game
The vision of the game is based on a blend of other strategy game titles, with some additional simulation aspects added. There is food production and rationing, taxation, happiness, sanitation, temperature, armaments production, diplomacy, prospection and mineral extraction, alongside other features. We also aim to include some historical scenarios, to bring some of the historical events that have left marks on the European landscape and are still visible today, to life.
